Navigating toward a single brand for STC, the largest maritime educator in the Netherlands

STC, a specialized maritime and logistics education institution in Rotterdam, wanted to shift from a multi-brand to a single-brand strategy in order to unite all its programs under one recognizable brand: “Learning in and around the port starts with one educator: STC”

In addition to traditional port professions, STC’s offerings include programs in rail, freight, offshore, inland shipping, and maritime industries. The strategy focused on refreshing the image of port professions and attracting students by highlighting the technological advancements and diversity of the sector.

We introduced a color-coded learning pathway for each educational level, positioning STC as a unified brand and community. This strengthens the sense of connection and continuous learning.

All students, across the various programs, were given a platform to share their stories. This was captured in a series of videos that highlight the personal stories and experiences within the different programs.
